We had another busy day at school. In Language Arts, we reviewed writing a good answer to a comprehension question as we discussed why it is important to read books like the one about Ryan and Jimmy. We then worked in Daily 5 centers; some of us did reading and listening activities, others did word work or writing. Some of us who chose writing today enjoyed writing our own comic strips. In Math, we continued to work on translations - moving a figure on a grid. We are getting the hang of it and tomorrow are moving on to introduce reflections as a type of transformation. In Health, we continued to talk about passive, aggressive and assertive responses and how to maintain good friendships. In Social Studies, we continued to talk about how stereotypes are communicated in the media and why we need to ask questions when we see certain information presented. We had gym this afternoon as well and then ended the day with some categorization activities in French.

Tonight's Homework:

1. Read and record

2. Math homework due Friday

3. Gateway project donations - oral hygeine items (eg. tooth brushes, paste, floss, etc.) - if you wish to donate
