Thursday, June 2

Today we spent the first half of our morning catching up on any unfinished work in language arts. Some students continued working on their Tanka Poems.

In math, we discussed congruent polygons (congruent polygons have all sides and angles equal... they are exactly the same shape, but may have a different orientation. Using tracing paper, we were able to trace an original figure, and then use our transformation skills to rotate, flip, or translate our traced image to check if a second or third image is congruent, or not congruent.

A reminder to send in a copy or a baby photo for our Parent's committee. They have a game planned for the Grade 6 Leaving Ceremony, and i'm sure the kids would love to see their own baby pictures represented.

Agenda

1. Read and Record

2. Gym & Choir

3. MPI visit permission slip (june 13)

4. Gr. 6 leaving - bring in ticket request slips

5. Math chapter review sent home (optional)
