We had another great day together at school. In Language Arts, we finished our read aloud about Ryan and Jimmy and we were thrilled to learn that Jimmy got to live in Canada permanently! We were able to make lots of connections with the book as we examined how our lives are similar to and different from Jimmy and Ryan's. Some of us had choir today and others worked in Ms. O'Reilly's room at that time. In Math, we played a game to help us learn how to identify the coordinates for the vertices in a given figure and then we practiced drawing a figure given the ordered pairs for each vertex. We had gym before lunch which was lots of fun. After lunch, we had social studies and we learned about bias, prejudice and discrimination. We then read a story in Religion and talked about motivation. At the end of the day, we earned 20 minutes of free time for good behavior and work completion.
