We had another great day at school. In French, we continued to learn about important events of the passed and did a matching activity to help learn some new vocabulary. We then had gym, followed by Math. In Math, we are continuing to work on constructing our own line graphs. In Language Arts, we are working on a new comprehension strategy about making connections to a text and we were really interested in the read aloud for the unit. We listened to and discussed two chapters today. It is about a little boy who wanted to build wells in Africa and it is based on a true story. We also had Religion today and read a story about Inuit beliefs. This afternoon, we had library period, Social Studies and Health. In Social Studies, we are learning about cross-cultural understanding and in Health we are continuing to learn about peer relationships. Today we talked about three ways of responding in a situation - passively, aggressively and assertively. We will be practicing how to be assertive in a variety of situations. We also took some breaks today using Go Noodle and we were excited to level up our class character and choose a new one! Tomorrow we get to attend a presentation by one of the former Harlem Globetrotters basketball players so we were pretty excited to hear that news today!
Tonight's Homework:
