Tuesday

We had another busy day at school. Today when we checked the weather, it was the first time since the Fall that the actual temperature and the "feels like" temperature were the same! We are hoping that this means spring weather is on the way! In Language Arts, we continued our read aloud, "Iqbal" and discussed the comprehension strategy of inferring. We then worked in Daily 5 groups. Some of us went to book club, some worked on friendly letters in writing, and others did read to self and listen to reading. In Math, we practiced strategies for multiplying a number by a decimal number. Today we practiced the strategies of using base ten blocks or pictures of money as well as the distributive model. We all did very well with this! In French, we worked on posters to illustrate things we like to do in the snow. After lunch, we discussed some definitions in Science related to forces and air pressure and recorded them in our books. We had buddy reading, followed by art and then gym to end the day.
