Monday
What a windy day! We all arrived at school safe and sound and were excited to share things about our break with our classmates. In Language Arts, we did a mini-lesson on word work and today we learned about indirect and direct quotations. We then broke up into different reading, writing and listening groups. Mrs. McDonald was impressed with how on task we were. In Math, we practiced multiplying a decimal number by a single digit number. Today we could choose to use the algorithm or the distributive model. Most of us are doing very well with this but practicing our multiplication facts at home would be helpful! We had music to end the morning. This afternoon, we had French, Art and silent reading. In French, we read about making an ice sculpture and then did an activity where we had to arrange the steps in order. In Art, we finished our response about Van Gogh's Starry Night painting. Silent reading was a nice, quiet way to end our day.
