Friday

It was another busy day at school. In Language Arts, we did a mini lesson on narrowing a topic when we write. Sometimes we choose topics that are too broad and it makes it hard to write in a clear and focused way. Then we did Daily 5 centers to practice our reading, writing and listening skills. In Math, we reviewed estimating products and then moved on to learning how to calculate exact answers. We realized that dividing a decimal number is just like dividing a whole number, we just have to remember to put the decimal back in the right place! Some of us need to practice the process of long division to make it a little easier. In French, we continued to learn about masks from different places that are used during carnivals and celebrations. In Science, we talked about more properties of air. Then we had buddy reading and gym and ended the day with art.
